The Cascade Golfer Cup gets back underway this week — and with three events completed, and three more to come following Saturday’s Cascade Golfer Players Championship at Druids Glen, it’s officially “moving day” for CG Cup players.

Three teams currently sit within 400 points of the overall Cascade Golfer Cup lead, while 14 sit within 1,200 points — a difference that can be made up with one good day.

The winning team this week will take home a four-night, four-round (for two) stay-and-play package to Las Vegas, while also racking up 1,250 points in their quest to be crowned 2012 Cascade Golfer Cup Champions — and take home that coveted 2013 Summer Golf Package, featuring 20 twosomes at the top courses in the state.

In addition to marking the official turn towards the back-nine of the 2012 CG Cup schedule, the Cascade Golfer Players Championship — July 21 at 8 a.m. at Druids Glen — features one of our favorite team-scoring formats, a Chapman. Each player tees off, then plays their partner’s tee shot. Once both players have hit their second shots, each team picks one ball to play the rest of the way, and play alternate shot until the ball is holed.

So long as at least one of you are consistent with the driver, and the other with your irons, you’re likely to be looking at a lot of opportunities to put some low numbers on that scorecard … maybe even enough to bring that Vegas vacation within reach!

Each Cascade Golfer Cup event is open to any player with the registered handicap, and with prizes awarded to the top-15 net and top-5 gross teams at each event, literally everyone has a chance to win! We’re proud of the fact that our 22 tournaments since 2009 have produced 21 different winning teams … you could be next!

Entry to this week’s event is just $260 per team. To learn more or reserve your spot in the field, click here or visit, and click on the Cup!
